Heat Sources On New Cabinets

Base Ovens:

Self-cleaning ovens must be pulled forward a minimum of 6 – 12” when the self-cleaning feature is activated.

Under Mount Coffeemakers:

A barrier plate mounted flush, or protruding slightly beyond the face surface of doors above, is recommended. This prevents possible surface damage and swelling of core material from excessive heat and/or steam.

Counter Top Appliances:

Care must be taken when using toasters, toaster ovens, portable grills, kettles and other heat/steam generating appliances to ensure that upper doors and cabinets are not subjected to excessive temperature and/or moisture.
